ride height

i fitted a set of coilovers today as my old suspension was shot , the car allways sat alot higher in the pass side and i thaught it was the suspension.

but after fitting today with coils set the same the pass side is still sitting higher than the drivers side, i had the set the dampers up lower on the one side to get the car level?

the turrets are not damaged in any way

any ideas why this may be ?

How much higher? Sounds like the ARB or something or other. Maybe bush related?

MOT will pass as long as the car is safe, doesn't need to be perfect.

I would get it looked over to be honest, post back your findings.

i dont know wher to start, the ruber bushes are all fine no play atall , the wishbones are fine not bent or cracked, the top mounting point are perfect no signe of stress or creases.

could bent anti roll bars cause this?

Dunno, I would maybe ask Chris Wilson. Either send him an email or give him a ring at an appropriate time.

I would definitely be getting a specialist involved at any rate.

i will , strange stuuf , the car trackes perfectly straight , handles well and the tyre wear even. wierd car

Mine sits abit higher on passanger side, think i seen a thread where a few people said the same thing about one side being higher than the other

yea aparently is was due to old sagging spring but iv recently fitted new coilovers

If the suspension components such as the arms and bushes have been in a settled state of lopsidedness for a length of time sue to saggy springs previously, I'm thinking it may take some time for them to technically, re-adjust to the level you've got it set with the coilovers. Just drive it around for a few months to see if it settles.

that had crossed my mind , i do rember the wishbones on the drivers side sat natrally lower when i removed the shok, ill give it 500 miles and see how we go, thanks

Slacken the inner pivots on top and bottom wishbones and retighten with the weight of the car on its tyres (need a drive on ramp for this, really). If the bushes are preloaded they'll add their torsion rate to the spring rate.

just to make sure i understand you correctly ,

if i was to put on an mot ramp id just need to crack off the pivot points allow the car to sit nautrally and re torque them, front and rear ?

Yes, that's it, make sure the camber and castor adjusters don't turn, Tipex them in case they move.
