The thing I don't get with clocked cars, surely there are old MOTs showing the mileages on them? Especially as the pistonheads add says a load of MOTs to be included with the documents

I presume dodgy seller would just say that the MOT station couldnt put KM on the miles reading on the MOT certificate?

Makes me wonder whether I should buy a Supra from anywhere else other than from other members and Jurgen.

Exactly right there Supraudi.. I bought off the classifieds and I would entertain that, or Jurgen and thats about it for me. I wouldnt look anywhere else but thats my personal choice.

i looked at 14 supra's before the 1 i bought. i got mine off an old boy who had 3 supra's.. mine (jza80 n/a) an electric orange 1 (n/a manual) and a midnight blue (tt manual).. he must of been about 70? but the car was genuine.. he didnt lie to me for a second.. when i asked to see it he was honest and said it needs work as its the "runt" of the family.. i felt sorry for him!! (the car not the old man :D ) he wanted a quick sale, long mot long tax, door cards slightly marked, suspension on its way out and 70k miles with all jap paperwork and all service history. i offered 2k cash and he called me insaine and taking the p*ss, but when i said i would put it how he should be.. the guy said ok.. but only cos im rich and dont need the car.. or the money :) all the bits that need work dont bother me, car was standard when i got him, and no matter what supra i bought i was always gonna put tein suspension on it, so that dont bother me.. just wish i had the cash to do it already as my car drives like a bouncy castle! :(
