Pre Made Modified Engines

I'm looking where to find Pre built 2JZ-GTE engines that are modified.

Paul Whiffin (Whifbitz) is putting built blocks together. They should be available soon.

Yes it is mate. It's a small niche that Paul has seen and is willing to put the effort in. You know everything will be top notch too.

Might be a little island off Oz but you do have one of the best tech right ups on Supras over there. It's often quoted on here in fact.

It's funny you've mentioned this as over the last few days I've been discussing with a couple of members becoming a hobbyist and offering exactly this.

The problem as I see it though is that very few people would actually pay for a "new" built engine.

The MVP shortblock as advertised is a little misleading as the image they show is a actually a long-block. A fully built long-block would set you back somewhere in the region of £10k - £12k plus labour at a guess.

Id try RIPS, they build some mental skyline engines and are on your door.

Longblock is a complete engine, shortblock is just the block.

I would look at a new Toyota short block, replace stock rods with lighter rods, ARP bolts and ARP head studs, then a built head, nothing more, this would reduce cost and can take more than enough street power, I would also always add a new water and oil pump and crank pulley

Beat me to it Jamie, RIPS build great engines, he could even do an RB30 conversion.

As for not getting a lot in NZ, well the drag scene is bigger than here, so there are quite a few serious tuning shops in NZ.

You should be able to get a 3.4 short engine all built for around £6-7K depending on spec.
