kers system

today i had a quiet day in work, this lead to me thinking about things i could do to my supra again.

so as the cogs in my mind turned i thaught , what would i need to make a f1 style kers sytem.

it seems possible but due to a road car haveing an altinator to charge it recovering brake energy wouldnt be needed so that would make it easyer.

another upside would be that i think irt would be alot safer that adding a n.o.s system as no extra fuel air or other chemical would be entering the cylinders.

dose anybody think this a concept worth persueing ? if so any more educated people in electric motors , your advice would be much apriciated.

i wasn't thinking in terms of saving the world , i thaught it would be a way of making more power in short burst without hurting the engine .

here is a quick diagramme of what i had in mind.

edit , verry quick lol

it could also double up as an emrgency backup starter motor
