Kirk
OK Again, i started swapping in my manual pedals and asoon as i started i found the brake light switch dangling from the pedal so i continued to remove the old brake pedal and also found the bolt that holds it on was missing the plastic spacers so in the end ive taken off the entire cradle assembly and found the pedal had been binding against the cradle and also found that the cradles snapped where the switch is. Now would i be alright smoothing off the rough metal and weld the piece back on or replace the cradle entirely?
little num
get it welded mate you could even weld some strenghener bits on as well to help keep it together.
absz
looking at the pictures it seems that the metal is cast ally, so you will need a good tig welder to do this or it will just melt away when welding.
