Kev_A
Ok, at the moment I have a set of original 18" Veilside Andrews racing V split rims. They were on the car when it came in from Japan, front offset = 36, will need to check the rears, they clear the J-spec brake setup but only by a small amount, no problems there. They aren't in the best condition, they were kerbed by the previous owner and the lacquer has bubbled on the spokes probably due to poor choice of wheel care product (I just use a medium concentrate of Zymol autowash and some warm water) The worst wheel is the passenger side rear which has obviously had a bad kerb on the lip and the previous owner has hammered it out. Now I've had them to a local specialist who assures me they wouldn't cost anymore than the normal rate of a 2 piece wheel repair, the lips would be refurbed and mirror polished and the centres, refurbed and re-lacquered, no problems there. The wheels are as rare as rocking horse shite and are (IMO) a stunning wheel, really suit the Supra well and for this reason I was going to have them refurbed and dry store them over winter periods. However, I have fitted Lexus LS400 brakes and the wheels will not clear the calipers without the need of some spacers, probably in the region of 15-20mm. They are complete with centre caps etc. and have great tyres all round and again, WILL clear J-spec brakes. So, in their current condition, will anyone be willing to A) Buy them off me or B) P/X me some other wheels for them (even Uk spec alloys) I haven't got any close up pics, one of the wheels is near perfect and they still look well on the car after a wash in their current condition Edited November 11, 2009 by Kev_A (see edit history)
