alcanatara roof lining

I am going to retrim my aerotop rooflining in black, to get rid of the fuzzy grey and make it fuzzy black

I know a few people have had it done, or done it themselves. Can anyone tell me if I need the foam backed alcantara or the plain stuff?

or, anyone who has had it done, can you tell me who did it and how much it cost?

when i did mine years ago, i used the normal stuff. it also was a 'fake' ancantara. looks and feels the same...but about 80% cheaper! think it was about £7 a mtr. 54" wide on the roll

i used a spray glue and it worked fine on mine. (AERO AS WELL)

did you rip off the old grey stuff first?

and did you use foam backed stuff?

also, how did you go about the sun visors and the little flappy bit that covers the mirror on the passenger visor?

just buy a black roof lining and swap it, easy job to do, u can pick them up for less than £40...

The black linings are nice but alcantara would be much nicer and you cant get black aero linings AFAIK.

you can, they are listed in the online parts catalogue. Facelift aeros had them, acording to the american prices on there they are thousands and millions of pounds.

I picked my black head liner and sunvisors up yesterday for £19 from jezz at qsd! Never seen an alcantara one!

I have never seen anything but black roof liners on non aerotops, but aerotop black liners seem to be as rare as a £4 note.
