Winter Warning - Coolant

Just a quick winter warning to remind everyone that the frosty nights are coming it. It is very important that your coolant/antifreeze is at a good ratio at this time of year. You always hear of peoples pipes freezing over in their homes during the winter creating burst pipes. Well the same goes for your car.

1 sure fire way to burst your matrix is to have too much water in your cooling system.

Make sure your mix is good!

Talking about coolant I had mine changed 3 weeks ago (and flushed) at Garage Whiftblitz. I checked it a few days ago and it seems murky, almost brown like (was actually like this before, Dan explained how it looked like poo). Does anyone know what colour they use? Like Toyota Red? Might call them to check but I have a weird feeling they might not be at work right now (10:45pm) so thought I'd post as you reminded me.

Anything you guys recommend I check? Check oil cap at the same time and no condensation or anything. Only thing wrong with my car at the moment is the seals need doing as its puffing loadsa white smoke. That is on startup only, or when I don't start the car for a few days.

Sorry to hi-jack Scott!
