urgent help required!! (Can't remove boot rubbers - haven't done a search)

Hi guys im currently replacing my boot rubbers, done the top ones fine but im having a nightmare trying to remove the screws on the bottom ones, any ideas how best to get them out?

What are they doing? just spinning or will the not move at all?

There is a write up kicking around on here somewhere,

but one of the best ways is to cut as much of the rubber away fully exposing the screws, and then get yourself a micro butane torch and heat up the screws until the locking compound that Toyota use melts,

Just be careful not to overdo it and burn the paint, you can use a damp cloth over the paintwork to stop any scorching.

they just aint budging at all, wont turn, when trying to pull them they are just completely wedged in, no matter what i do they wont budge:(

I used a butane torch and an impact driver & mole grips on my missus Celica when I replaced these. If you try this method BE CAREFUL!!!

Rip the rubber off and the attack the screws with impact driver and mole grips.That is how I got mine off in the end.

ive got the rubber off and the metal plate, just one screw that i cant get out on the elft one,got grips on them, pulled them theres no give in them at all:(

The heating method will give the least grief;)

sorted it, what a nightmare, what i thought would be the simplest of jobs turned out to be a pain in the ass lol. ah well no more rattled and blue tac yay!!!thanks guys

I found that when I couldn't turn mine I got a friend with hands like the Hulk. Easy!

these were a pain i cut the rubbers apart than the screws were easier

On my first 2 supras I ended up having to drill them out, so when it came to changing the ones on my new supe a few weeks back i went out the armed to the teeth with tools fully expecting a few hours of grief nightmare. But they came out with out a problem and i had them changed in minutes, i guess some are easier than others....
