hay ya all.

Ok it crossed my mind to maybe save up and go big single turbo. Theres alot of nice BHP figures i see on alot of your cars and the sound of a single is just a bonus.

What sort of cost are we looking at? will i have to also go management?

Any major disadvantage except the lag?

Thanks

Paul

but i prosume there must be hidden costs etc...

Heres some

Possible uprated clutch.

Fmic , if you dont have one.

larger injectors

uprated ecu. With all appropriate harnesses

fitting of the kit and ecu.

And mapping, which done properly on a dyno, is not cheap in it's self

edit

if your auto, you'll have to uprate your box too

You might want to have a word with Matt or Dude from AFR, they're developing a single kit that they aim to run from the stock fuel system, which should give slightly higher than BPU performance.

And you'll get the lovely noise

Not sure I would want to spend lots of money on a single package which just managed to creep over BPU levels.

Not really worth it TBH

My Shopping list is...

Turbo Kit 3.5K (Includes everything to install the turbo, all return lines, manifold etc)

Solaris ECU & Map £2k

New injectors £600

Clutch £400

New Radiator £300

New Oil Pump £130

New Fuel Pump £130

New Water Pump £120

New Plugs £120

Oil Cooler £200?

Labour 1-1.5K

Thats 9k, if you have 10k as a budget that allows a little come and go. There are a few other odds and sods that add up to 1 or 2 hundred.
