wizard of nos

Hi new to group has anyone fitted one of these kits to a TT if so any one got any pics of installing I.E were do you tap the jets into the induction pipe,were to cut in the petrol,help im just a little girlie.

No idea of how to help you but I love the thread title.

There is somebody on here that runs nitrous. You will have to try and get hold of Mark kindell. He may be able to tell you.

Hello and welcome by the way. See that your in Southampton, you will have to come to the next local meet.

I've had nitrous fitted to mine and the jets for the gas and petrol are placed inside the inlet.

Mark Kindell runs their kit, and rates it and them very highly. So probably the best choice if you want N2O.

 

FWIW, I have done a lot of research into N20 with the stock turbos. It is a VERY bad idea, and I would only advise it for NAs and single turbo supras.

Nos on standard turbos is a very good idea. All i get is an extra 1p.s.i of boost more than standard. If installed corrctly nitrous is one of the safest ways to increase engine power, especailly on turbo'd cars. They love a little bit of the old laughing gas.

And what size shot are you using Jason?

Just 75hp at the moment. So in actual fact the engine is under less strain for that short time thats its being used than other cars running bpu constantly. (That sentance doesn't make sense to me, but I hope you get the idea what I'm trying to say.)

What fuel, and what boost are the turbos at with and without the N20?

Standard, except with the second cat removed.

No boost gauge?

 

Normal fuel?

 

First cat in?

 

No EGT gauge?

 

This sounds like a really bad setup to me, it has been done before and resulted in blown engines.

I have a boost guage and I run on optimax.

So what psi when on and off the gas?

 

And Optimax don't cut it for use with Nitrous.

If you know as much as you say you do , then I will let you know when i need your help.

Just tell me how you are helping, rather than one or two questions at a time. My nitrous system was fitted by a company who do nothing except nos and turbos, therefore I think they know what they are talking about. With due respects you probably do know your stuff, but I will go with advice from the professionals thanks.

Why it is a bad idea is for stock turbos only. They overboost heavily when used with nitrous, yours probably are not due to the precat still in place. But instead this leads to unsafe EGTs. Add to this the fact your not using a high enough octane fuel, and you have a recipe for disaster.

 

It is clear you don't want to listen to me, so go to http://www.supraforums.com and read about it yourself. Actual experiances from people who have blown engines with N20 on stock turbos. I leave this upto you.

Sorry if I came across as rude, but I just don't like people being misinformed and unknowingly damaging their cars. Now you know, and can look into it yourself and decide yourself, its cool.

http://www.nitrous-solutions.com I know that I haven't been misinformed, as they are the wizard of nos' main dealer in the uk. I was very sceptical about NOS on my car, but they put my mind at rest. Also, you didn't have all of the information, such as using a progressive controller?

 

One thing that I do know though is I have NOS and I love it!

Syed why do you say the optimax wont cut it with N2O ????, i didnt think octane was an issue when injecting the gas just the extra amount of fuel needed to keep things safe , more to the point is the fact that when using N2O its a VERY good idea to pull a few degrees of timing and unless you use an AEM or similar you cant do this , the AEM will also take care of any extra fuel needed if you want it to as opposed to running a wet system , i will run mine on the gas but only when i go AEM (i may run a 75 shot if it bogs off the line though !!!

I'm really considering going the NOS and xorst/decat route with my N/A you know. Still pondering on pros n cons about it. Insurance isn't too bad with nos/decats declared if I go that route.

Dude, read up on this on SF, octane is important with N20, and yes retarding the timing is very important as well.

Once you've experiencexd the rush of Nitrous through your veins, there is no going back. I wouldn't be without it now. Talk to an expertm, they wouldn't be fitting systems if they knoew that it was going to break your car.

I have Nos on my N/A, was on it when i bought it, but not got it working yet, tried but it seems to bog down the engine Maybe get it looked at one day.
