Can't find a lopt of info on this. Best bet is to email Mr Whiffin, AFR for advice.

All I can find is the upgrading of the pump itself. Twin or single Walbro pumps or go for the Bosch 044 unit. Nothing on the regulator, apart from replacing it, though.

It's 33-38 psi according the Toyota service manual. Outside of these limits it says to replace the FPR.

It's really not worth swapping the FPR as even at the lower end of the stock fuel pressure limit the injectors will fuel fine even with boost at 1.3 bar.

yer i done the fuel pump. Infact Paul Whiffin did it.

I did alot of research about fuel pressure etc and there is next to nothing on it.

I gave changing the regulater a go as i had an adjustable one lying around.

I have had alot of work recently done by JPS and have been impressed. I asked leon (main guy there) what would be the next thing upgrade? and he said fitting an ajustable fuel regulater would be the next thing and then thats pretty much it with the stock twins.

so i thought it give it a go. Its all on now, but if i dont think its any good (being worse) i can always put the stock one back on. :)

No need to change the stock regulator at all until you run an uprated rail and you dont need that till well over 600hp :)

2.2 is 31 PSI.... which is less than standard if standard is between 33 - 38 psi??

If it has a stock FPR and it's showing 2.2 bar then it needs replacing (or has a big leak - which is unlikely). Could also be a pump issue, either way it needs looking at. New FPR's are not overly expensive from Toyota.
