My Better half as demanded I get rid of my UK Supra - which i have reluctanlty put up for sale on piston heads.

Where do I go from here - what is a decent buy for around £6-£7k, but with a bit of grunt but with an element of practicality?

I was thinking a 3 series 2000 onwards, but think they're long in the tooth?

I have had my hand forced to get rid of my supra. Think I am going for the 330 E46, I was thinking M3 but I have been put off by large repair bills.

Exactly what i am thinking, but an se as need 4 doors.

Looks as though a post 2000 330 sport or se can be had for £4k - lot of car for the money :)

Sell the UK supra, buy a smaller practical car for her, then get a cheaper import supra :D

then get a cheaper import supra

That is definately something i may well do in years to come - has been a total joy owning a Supra - but needs must :(

Our little one is 11 weeks tomorrow and has already been to her first Supra meet and she loved it. We had a two hour drive to get there and she slept all the way nice and comfy in one of the Supes. I have told the wife I would like to get her a supe for her 1st birthday and just maintain it for her until she is old enough to drive it. Supras is how my wife and I met and both of ours will be kept for posterity.
