LOGIE Posted October 11, 2009 Share Posted October 11, 2009 my boot had been chirping away like a bird for a few months so eventually went to Mr T and bought 4 new bootlid cusions (TOP AND BOTTOM) for a staggering £16, however when i went to remove the old rubbers on the bottom the screw heads snapped off leaving me with two stumps with about 1mm protruding:( has anyone got any idea of how i can remove these irritating and offending items? thanks all Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

brettjones Posted October 11, 2009 Share Posted October 11, 2009 This happen to my car, soak the remaining bit of bolts in wd40 then use a pair of monkey grips and slowly undo put a bit of rag around the area so you don't hit the paint work if you cant get a grip of the bolt .Small grinder cut the bolt off nice and flat use a center punch and make a dent in the center and drill it out then you need to tap and dye a new thread good luck and take your time Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
