Garage 786 aka (Ash)

Just thought I'd share my experience with this garage as the service is excellent.

I asked Ash to fit me a new clutch and dual mass flywheel I was on a tight schedule, Ash arranged it for me at short notice and stripped the car down waiting for the clutch to be delivered. Unfortunately they delivered the wrong one, so Ash personally took me home and brought me back again to collect it.

I drove away today with my car feeling great, she is really smooth and lays the power down much better now. I spent the time while they fitted it asking questions and they happily answered and showed me all the work they were doing, explaining each step, this was great for someone who's not a mechanic to understand what is actually being done.

All to often these days you dont get that personal touch, its nice to go somewhere where the mechanics have a passion about the car they are working on and give friendly honest advice and good service.

So, big Ash and Little Ash, and your apprentice, great job and thanks very much. I hope to put more business your way in the nearish future.

I hope you can have an open day sometime soon for all the club members :)

Phil

Good to hear this, very pleased to hear of your experience and glad you are happy with your car!

I'm booked in for my first visit with Ash on 21/10/2009, going there as he's the closest recommended garage for Supras. I agree that many garages keep you away from the work being carried out, the work is only as good as the mechanic etc. Sounds like they put their hearts into the jobs unlike many garages that have shoddy workmanship.

I had a recent oil change royally screwed by a local garage that I have used for years. They only had to do me an oil service, yet they did not fully drain the old oil out! Despite me mentioning this to them they insisted it makes no difference and would not kindly continue to allow the old oil to drain out. So I had to spend the monies all over again and did the oil change at my uncles garage myself.

Cool, I'm sure you'll be very happy. What are you having done?

My first visit to Ash will just be for a simple LSD and Auto Gearbox oil change to complete my interim service schedule. Also if I can get a damn response from Jam auto's then a set of HIDs too. Then brakes in a month or two.

I just know that if I took it elsewhere the garage would most probably refill the gearbox oil but not check it correctly as auto's have a different method for correctly checking them.
