Power steering

Work has finally picked up, so the car has a fresh MOT, no advisorys and finally getting some use again :)

Its lack of use has meant I have been-surprise, surprise-drving other vehicles.

I now have noticed that the steering is very light, even at speed.

Probably its been like this all the time, but it seems obvious now.

Trawling through the site, I have noticed that e-bay TSD dont alter the progression of the power, or balls it up altogether?:search:

The car was fitted with a cheap e-bay speedo face (120mph) when I bought it, which I have now changed to 180mph.

I am about to purchase a Thor combined speedo converter and TSD, but am unable to find any evidence of any converter/rewiring when the dash was completey removed (panels)

Is there anything I could look for on the ECU wiring to see if a TSD has already been fitted? If it has I will remove it prior to fitting the Thor unit.

The steering issue is bothering me now, and I keep getting the dreaded "O/D OFF" flashing, which suggests some previous tampering has been done. I will check for dry odo joints when I receive my LED heater conversion from Heckler, but can anyone give me pointers regards the apparent steering issue?
