Throttle bodies and intake manifolds

The throttle body has an extra pipe on the top, which doesn't appear to do much, if anything. See a previous thread by here.

 

 

Apart from the EGR like Robert already said, the intake manifold is slightly different when it comes to one of the connections. Here's some info taken from Tony's turbo write up:

 

The manual for the UK says to remove the VSV for fuel pressure control, but this doesn't look like a VSV. I think it's the intake temp. sensor, which the UK spec doesn't have (mines a J-spec):-

Thanks Rob, Kev, I want ot do some work on sprucing up both these, I thought if I could get some second hand ones I could do them up first then do a swop when there ready. Unfortunately there only ever seams to be Jspec ones up for sale, I think I'll just do mine all in one go and be stuck without the car for a while.
