they retail in the states for roughly $1000 with the airbag

MVP have the carbon rimmed for $975 but no airbag and the airbag is another $562 - still cheaper than $6K :eyebrows:

Just re-read that first thread and have to ask why someone would fork out £4-500 on a steering wheel then have it sitting in the box unfitted!( 2 members have admitted to this) If the factory fit is OK then why buy a TRD? that's like buying a Ducatti and leaving it under a cover in the garage whilst riding a 40 year old Honda 50!! moreover as airbags have an explosive discharge is that wise to have sitting around?

If an airbag malfunctioned whilst fitted all that would happen would be an increased heart rate and a change of underwear but if it discharged in the box someone could be wearing a new appendage! - no only that there is the possible collateral damage from such an event

Admittedly not sure if that could possibly happen but what if?

Do some people really have too much money to waste? Just idle thoughts ............
