Sunday 18th October - Southcoast Run

After the voting from the previous thread 'Members of the South' (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=197421) the date which seems to be most suitable for members is the Sunday 18th October.

I'm hoping many of you will turn up as it will be a good drive providing that the weather is nice. I have spoken to Branners about suggested routes (as he seems to have more knowledge about these things) and he has suggested this route.

This will take us from Dorking (Surrey), down to Brighton, then back up to Gatwick. Although, if any other members know of any routes they have been on before and think it is a worthwhile route then by all means share it. But, if there are no other suggestions then we will stick to the route Branners advised.

Ideally it would be good if we could meet in Dorking as it's the start but, I don't expect people to go out of their way so, if you want to come along then feel free to meet us on the way at a Service Station e.g. along the A24.

As previously stated feel free to bring an N/A, TT or Single we're all just looking to have a good day out.

I'm hoping many of you from the "Calling all Southcoast Supra's" thread (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=190168) will be able to make it.

Hopefully we can get a video also, dependant on if anyone is willing. I know Dan (Pistonbroke) is handy with the cam AND editing .

Add your names to the list and where you will be meeting us. That way we can organize meeting spots and times.

Im thinking an 11am arrive at Dorking for an 11.30am depart, arriving in Brighton by around 1.30pm and leaving at 2pm to get to AFR for around 4pm.

 

Everybody okay with that? Times are moveable if people want it earlier or later.

Depending on start times I shall come up from Southampton and start at Dorking with you, do the Brighton bit, go part way back up towards Gatwick and leave when we get to the 272 near Haywards Heath and head back West.

I forgot to mention, Boxhill is jam packed full of motorbikes on a Sunday, so the Dorking bit might have to start in the public car park near the centre (assuming it is still there...)

I'd like to be there but I have an annoying feeling that my car will be in the bodyshop. Had someone clip the front wing while I was at work today . He left his details though, so just got to wait until I speak to the insurance companies.
