Guest chris080982
Hello all N/A owners, How many miles does your car do on a tank of fuel as mine seems to drink the fuel!! This will make all TT owners laugh!!!!
RobD
How long have you had your car? I put £45 in mine yesterday, drove frugal from cambridge to southend , left southend with just over half a tank, had a play and got back to cambridge as the red light turned on! So not even 200 miles ish? The car was on red before I put the £45 in also! The NA is more thirsty than a TT!

Mine went from Ipswich to Hockley, then to Basildon, brentwood, todington, santa pod. Then back to hockley then ipswich and I had 13 runs up the strip, Used just under a tank of fuel. It will do about 32mpg driven steady, I have seen it down to 15mpg though on a hard drive.
tooquicktostop
You should try running a big single on a spirited drive, you would think there was a whole in the tank

Kirk
its a big heavy 3 litre... its designed to melt the ice caps, polute the ozone and be as uneconomical as possible.... i dont know why people worry so much about it unless its drinkin excessively
James
Can't have one of these cars and expect anything less! My TT is horrific on fuel according to all of my friends etc., but that's to be expected when considering what it is! Obviously it's going to be much worse than an S2000, Integra, Glanza etc.! Kirk
i forgot to add.... it will also make you much less wealthy than you was before ownership. GOD BLESS THE SUPRA

AndyT
21 - 26 on average for motorway stuff. TT. 18 - 22 around town. If you get half of this, look at cleaning / changing the o2 sensors. Not cheap on the NA 'cos you have
RobD
I think for a 3 litre its good if you drive long trips, if you like playing then expect the needle to disappear south!
RobD
[/color] WTF?? Really:blink:. From what i've been told it is! I was questioning it also, pretty sure Homer corrected me in a previous thread a couple of months back And where the hell was you last night???? hoff
Having driven both NA and TTthe TT is definately more thirsty. NO question at all. Though I do drive a little quicker;) As Andy said give the 02 sensors a clean. Drop them in lemon Juice over night, wash them off and see how that goes. Mr T does them new for around £100. If Nic were available he was doing them for around £70.
PhatB
A full tank got me from Glasgow to Newcastle and back before the fuel light came on again, so including driving around Newcastle about 350 miles. On the other hand in my previous job, come the Friday my fuel light would be on so I would stick a tenner in and by the time I was returning home from work the fuel light would be on again so roughly 35 miles

gordy07
I get about 240 to 260 miles a tank, mixed driving. Do people find the consumption increases with an aftermarket exhaust(cats in)?
