MaveriK
Washed the car as i was hoping this would come out but it has not. If i wet the mark is disappears but comes back a few seconds later. What is it and how do i go about getting the blemish out? Thanks in advance. Havard
I have told you a thousand times that our little secret. Those pics are post wash I take it that they are stains from bird crap then? I don't know enough about paintwork to suggest polishing them out but beyond that it may have to be repainted.... Although on a silver door, that will not be easy to match. H. themodifiedkid
I would try using a cutting compound paste like g3 or g6 on the door, should lift this out. But would probably need to use a DA to apply it.
Stonkin
Hi Maverik, what caused the marks, i presume it was either a feathered friend or something has been spilt on it? If you can feel the damage with your finger then it may be worth giving the door a clay. You could also try a paint cleaner. Unless you have something else the Meguiars Step 1 paint cleaner isnt too bad and is readily available from Halfords. If this does not work, as already suggested you will really need to use a cutting compound. A small area like that you should be able to tackle by hand, however a DA or rotary will make life much easier. Christian
dangerous brain
Looks like the laquer has clouded. Hope it hasn't gone all the way through or it'll have to be mopped off and possibly resprayed on.

peter richards
excuse my lack of polishing knowledge but whats a DA . my guess would be the lacquer cloudingduel action it oscillates as it spins compared to a rotary which just rotates . but if you press on a DA it will slow or stop where the rotary wont
Matt _Aero top_
Is it slowing or stopping a bad thing ?
peter richards
no the reason people suggest a DA to an amateur or just someone looking to polish their car is there is less chance of screwing up the paint . get the rotary wrong and its off to the bodyshop
Matt _Aero top_
i get what you mean with the rotary not stopping i see how it could be quite easy to burn through the paint .
