Geo Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 So my 4'' 102mm K&N is pretty gubbed on the car and was wondering if there is any better filters out there which will be suited to my single build?? I suppose once that has been determined it's a case of how well they flow air through. Must all be pretty much the same though. Paper jobs. Can't be that much difference Yeah there all rated Matt, think the one iv got(gubbed) is the same one as Paul sells, think there good for 700bhp. Alex Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Power ratings usually refer to NA HP maximums....not Forced Induction. However, basically as big as possible within the space is best as it reduces the forces involved in getting enough air through a filter. The K&N 12" long cone filter is usually the one supplied. Can't remember the model but I used a large diameter cylinder type with a mesh on the top section too, it was about 10x10" and came with a 4" neck.
