Manifold Heatwrap Questions

Going to be re-wrapping my manifold after the last abortion of the ginger manifold :D

I've decided to use black this time but I've got some questions on the performance of different wrap types/makes.

I origionally chose those Copper Dei make, it said 30% better than their normal range, it said upto 1000 deg.

I'm now looking at the black stuff, most on ebay says 600 deg.

There is some Graphite Dei stuff which says 100 deg.

I want to know if I'm being suckered in by the sales talk and if wrap is just wrap, or if I'm better off paying the extra and getting the good stuff?

In terms of price this 1000 deg stuff is £60+ for 2" x 15m where as the no brand stuff I've seen for £35 for 2" x 50m

PS my manifold is already heat coated, I was wrapping it for extra piece of mind

Under bonnet temp, and my Idle was much smoother and throttle more responsive. It almost sound as the car is running quieter too but I have double layer wrap on DP.In the past the heat that came off the DP even wraped in Thermotech melted some plasic fittings on the fire wall. This copper stuff is good.
