Emin (Supra TT Myster) has just completed phase II of my light-work.

This included :

Centre brake strip - all 44 L.E.D's replaced with new, re-seal and re-house.

Fog Light - Removal of the rear eSVA approved "caravan" fog light and wire them into the rear light clusters retaining the existing funcionality of all lights when the fog is not on.

Dash Clusters - Changing of L.E.D dash clusters to electro-luminescant panels for a tru-Indiglo look. (L.E.D green -> blue dash conversion already completed by Emin), sadly this was the guineapig car and a technical hitch came up which requires a re-think so the l.e.d's were re-installed.

The centre brake strip...... hmmm...yeah, this is one of the biggest pain in the assed things I have ever attempted. Basically the housing needs to be seperated from the front section to get to the LEDs and the circuit board. This sounds simple but as we found out when trying to heat the sealant, the plastic melts far quicker than the sealant does. After a good few minutes (half an hour) we had managed to free a section large enough to get a screwdriver in and a painful extra half an hour and some scratched fingers I had managed to split the two parts to get to the L.E.D's.

To start with I had 9 working LEDs and the rest either didn't work or were so faint they could not even be seen at night.

A couple of pics are available here for those interested:

The fog relay was added and a couple of diodes were needed to prevent a loopback of the current but other than that it went without a hitch (see pics above also).

Emin turned up in the best looking fast car I have ever seen, amazing paintwork and the interiour was to die for:

A good day by all accounts, I accidentally resized the images on the server too small so if anyone wants larger close-up pics of any of the stuff done then please let me know and give me your email address.

I shall take pics of the dash once it gets a bit darker.

Thanks all
