1JZGTE
Just wondering, does it make any difference to performance / how the car runs if you are using a vac hose which is 3mm ID as opposed to 5mm ID? I recently switched dump valves from the SARD that came with the car, to a BAILEY single piston DV, and the BAILEY has a 3mm ID vac hose connection, whereas the engine bay takes a 5-6mm. I really had to wedge the 3mm on there... Just wondering what the opinion is - does it have to be 5mm or it makes little difference?
Ark
Depends - if you just want a pressure reference it shouldn't make any difference. If you want to actually move some air around, then yes it will matter. Actually, if you just want a reference hose, I'd have thought the thinner the better - less volume means less to pressurise, so quicker reaction... 1JZGTE
It's basically a 15cm length of vac hose that connects from the top of the DV to the vac pipe on the car. The vac pipe is a good 5 - 6mm, the connector on the DV meanwhile is 3mm. ???
