Animal Posted August 13, 2009 Share Posted August 13, 2009 The direction of the groove is less important than the direction of the internal vanes, if your discs have angled vanes (and they are angled differently to the grooves). TBH the standard discs from Mr T combined with a fast road pad from Chris Wilson are better than these and won't wear your pads down nearly as quickly as the grooved ones. I'm a bit vane and I like the look of 3G grooved disks and I always fit Chris's pads and to tell you the trueth I dont see any differance in the stopping power, may be on a track there would be. Reason I asked was I have had them on for three months or so and they make a ticking noise all the timme I've checked everything els and I would have maybe expected it initially but the n to go away as they bed in. I would guess that the internal vanes would be the same as the grooves - as in directing water, heat, etc away from the hub. Isn't this the case with all grooved discs?
