Drag racing in manu mode advice

When I'm at the strip I've always used fully auto mode in my auto TT to get my times. However at SupraPod on Saturday, I quite fancy doing a few runs in manu mode to see if it improves/ruins my times :D

So to answer a few questions:

1) Same as in auto mode in regards to the launch - rev upto 2k rpm for a few seconds tops and then power brake and off?

2) Which gear do you start in? 1st or 2nd?

3)Shift at the redline or just before?

Thanks everyone

Remember which you are in, auto or manual !

I was switching between them last year and on one run spotted Sue waving from the grandstand, a second later i hit the rev limit and lost power, thinking I had blown the car up I hit the brakes

My small audience said I should have got the prize for longest skid marks half way down the track :taped:

have fun mate...

Ok thanks for the input, just need to clear up a few more things

1)is it OK to power brake upto 2k rpm as you would in full auto mode in the launch?

2) Running without the TRAC fuse wont cause any issues running in manu mode will it? (It doesnt in auto mode)
