Hello, I am a "Newbe".

 

I have a 1995 N/A mk 1V and planning the following modifications.

 

HKS air filter.

Autobahn exhaust manifold with 3" exit.

3" decat front pipe with Magnaflow 200 cell 3" bore cat spliced in.

HKS 3" catback exhaust.

ECU remap.

 

Could any please tell me what bhp torque gains are to be expected from thse mods?

Mostly made up by the people selling them mate

who remaped the ecu as i also thought it couldnt be remaped also the hks filter is crap at filtering i got rid of mine when i took it of and looked in the pipes and throtle body there was like a mucky soil type stuff all over now i have an apexi as it came out on top for filtration

These wishfull sums are ficticious then?

 

 

HKS filters are especialy rubbish. if anything you will loose power because your sucking in hot air from the engine rather than the stock airbox sucking in fresh "cold" air. They are also particulary crap at actualy filtering anything.

 

Manifold - 20hp is optomistic. i would guess more like 5-10hp.

 

I guess the exhaust might get you 5hp (total, catback and decat).

 

The stock ecu cant be remapped.

Who gave you those estimates? I agree with the comment about the filter losing you bhp unless you duct it very well.

i would like to see some one use the cams on supraforums the ttc ones i think inlet and exhaust for the n\a i would like to see what gains you could get from them Anybody got them ???

 

I'm actually dying to see the gains you'd get from a set of BC cams for the N/A. Theres a stage 2 set thats apparently plug and play. Surely it would have to do something for the car.

After doing most of them mods myself I'd say 10hp max on all the above except the ECU remap, as it can't be done. You won't notice any gains at all, it may sound faster from the noise but more then likely it won't be as 3" straight through will make the car run rich (past experience).

So reaslistically the manifold it the best gain. out of the group of them? Any videos?
