Hi,

Newbie just introducing myself to the Supra community - fantastic resources available on this site, and from what I've seen a load of friendly people too!

Looking to pick up a Supra (fairly) soon hopefully, aiming for as late a model as I can find (preferably a VVT-i) and have seen some gorgeous looking cars for sale on here, especially from JM-Imports.

Just wondering if anyone has experience purchasing from places such as Torque GT, or perhaps any of the other dealers that appear on AutoTrader/PistonHeads? There's what looks like a decent car (http://www.torque-gt.co.uk/cardetails.php?c=255) available, and at a good price - obviously needs some decent alloys etc.

Any advice greatly accepted - I've been through the 'what to look for when buying...' PDF and found that most helpful also.

Cheers!

Hi and welcome. The car you are looking at looks good. print off the buying guide and take it with you when you view the car.

You probably can't go wrong buying from a member of the owners club either, for £9000 you could get a very nice car.

Yeh, although waiting for a VVT-i from the club would take some time I imagine...! Although from the prices of those for sale, I agree, £9000 would fetch quite a gem :)

Hi Metalface, welcome to the club, the Supra in the advert looks pretty good and thats not a bad price for a low milage vvti, as already said there is a buyers guide in the FAQ in the forums which is very good. arm yourself with one then start asking lots of questions and if everything sounds ok, then go and see.

Bob.
