A quick question

It would still work fine, depends on how the exhaust is made, what route it follows, what silencers it has on it and how those silencers are made. If its 2" non mandrel bent with a baked bean tin for a silencer it may not be good for the car, but a decent 3" mandrel bend exhaust with proper silencers should be okay.

There are some pictures around of twin exhaust Supras, they tend to look a touch odd for some reason.

Yeah but, does it make it worse to put more than one on? Not that I would do it, I'm not a big fan of 20 exhausts on your car, but I'm rather curious.

Toyota stated they achieved a significant weight saving by just having 1 pipe.

When originally designed the centre section split into 2 before going back into a single rear silencer. The after market exhausts have just 1 straight centre section.

As mentioned, this reduces weight and helps give the exhaust gasses a less complicated path to flow out of. Its also cheaper to replace 1 exhaust silencer or pipe than 2.....

For the OP, you also never see Subaru's or EVO's with more than one exhaust. The Lamborghini Murcielago also have one large exhaust...... Its important to remember that exhaust flow is a major aspect of engine performance, start pissing about with it and you'll end up ruining it.
