TTRickeh
Just wanted your comments on this. I'm replacing all the rear suspension arms at the moment and came across this. Is there a need for this?
suprasurrey
There should be no need to weld the adjusters like that. also, the bolt thread should protrude past the nut by about 10mm. Going by the state of the nuts and bolts it would be wise to replace these as well.
absz
someone must of had the suspension apart and welded the adjusters so they don't loose all the alignment settings:D
Kirk
sounds bout right, seen this many times when the nuts wind themselves loose so people tack them! get new bolts!!
Dnk
No need in my opinion, Toyota dont tack weld them so as long as there torqued up correctly they shouldnt go anywhere.

That's what I was thinking, I couldn't quite get my head round why they would need welded. It certainly makes removing them a PITA anyway, bloody welded blobs on the nut so I can't get a socket on them. I've got the camber bolts out now I will give the toe ones a bash tomorrow. On a side note does anyone have any advice for getting the lower suspension arm off? My ball joint splitters don't have a wide enough grip to pop them off.
