Guest daz 6576 Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 ive adjusted my hsd coilovers to lower the car a bit and wanted to know if i have done it right i loosened the 2 locking bits on the bottom of the spring and wound it down but after doing this the spring has got some play in it. have i done this wrong are you supposed to leave the spring alone and turn the whole shaft itself to lower it can anyone tell me cus i think ive messed up Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The spring seats need to stay the same or you ruin the pre-load (plus the springs rattle), you loosen the nut at the very top, loosen the collar at the very bottom, then wind the WHOLE THING up or down.
