Dave Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 my heater matrix is leaking coolant into the footwell only a small amount, i put the heater on monday morning and the screen misted up as soon as the heater got warm so im guessing its the matrix leaking .please put me right are there any rubber water pipes inside the car or do they connect too the matrix from the bulkhead side ??. doesnt leak when the heater is off ? [or not as much] can i run RADWELD through the system good/bad idea??? definately not looking forward to removing the dash to fix it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JustGav Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 NO to radweld. You can bypass the matrix with either two copper bungs or a bit of pipe joining it. Plus you can sort any dash squeaks/rattles while you're at it and screw everything nice and tight with new bolts/screws afterwards (if you're a little OCD like me).
