hey im new to the site and just need a bit of general knowledge for yourselfs. Im interested in a supra as a next car, it will be a second car so weekends and night time more that commuting.

I'm looking at twin turbo manual (nearly standard) and should have a budget of 7k by the end of summer, so i can start a hunt ready for next summer. The question i need to know is this a good budget for a TT manual supra? I mean ive been looking around and they seem to differ a lot from one car to the next.

Mileage I would pefer in the 80k range but a well looked after car with 100k is also good

cheers for any help

I have visited several Jap Car Importers over a 1 year hunt for my Supra. By and large, I'm not keen on them from my experience of clearly heavily raced examples, incorrect fluid levels, lack of paper work inc. japanese history etc. £7K is a good budget for a Supra TT but, you will be lucky to find manual cars at that price to appear in the classifieds often.

As for mileage, I think you are being silly. I turned down cars with less than half the miles of the car I purchased in the end and its nothing but a pleasure. You need to be ensuring the car has been maintained and serviced accordingly to the mileage intervals etc.

I never visited Jurgen, however he's the only one with a very good reputation and I think he'll be the best person to advise/source what you are looking for.

You are enquiring about a highly specialist car, if you expect to be able to get what you want on your doorstep I'd keep wishing! you WILL have to travel regardless of distance and speak to the right people to get the right car.
