It’s possible?

Surely it would just be noted in the database - or whatnot - that it's been modified from 3.0NA to 3.0FI.

It would be false advertising to market as an RZ surely? Despite having the same bits, it's not what it actually is I guess ;)

If you got an SZ-R TT with 6 speed box, can it be registered as RZ model?

Why would you do that? Its not an RZ and you would be making a false claim! Better to be honest and say that it is an NA/T SZ-R People are not stupid and can easily tell an SZ-R from a genuine RZ. Its like someone with an RZ-S claiming they had an RZ or GZ!!

As others have said, I'm pretty sure you can't legitimately do this. You could cause yourself a lot of grief if you tried it with someone who knew enough about supras to realise what you'd done. If you did it to your insurers, you'd be handing them an instant "get out of jail without paying you a penny" card.

I think I know why you'd want to (if you've done a NA-TT swap on an SZ-R, your car probably has more in common with an RZ or GZ than with the original SZ-R), but I'm sure it doesn't work like that. An SZ-R with every single part replaced to be like an RZ, is not the same as an RZ (and shouldn't be described as such in things like For Sale adverts).

I'm not planning in sell my car, and my insurance knows that i have an SZ-R with RZ engine!

i just wanted to know if that is possible.

like Stevie say the car got more RZ than SZ-R.

Sounds like the RZ description is for "pub-talk" purposes. In which case, anything goes! :D

So if you have no intention of selling your car why do you want to re-register it as an RZ - which it is not, other than to mislead others.

If you and your insurance know it is an SZ-R with a TT lump there seems to be little point in naming it as something clearly(and easily checked on the chassis plate!) identified as something else.

Maybe it does have more RZ than SZ parts - but is still isn't and more importantly never was a genuine RZ and I fail to see your reason to be honest:(

Just because someone's car has cruise control and leather they cannot say it is a GZ rather than the RZ/RZ-S it really is!!!
