Just called the AA to confirm wether they will relay me home if I have a mechanical breakdown at a track day and was told (by some brain dead bint) that I am not covered if racing. I explained that its not a race, but driving off road. She then says they don't cover drag racing or rallycross etc. but if my car won't start in the car park thats fine.

Anyone had actual experience of this?

They picked me up when I left most of my diff on the line at Santa Pod :)

They even brought the truck to me right next to the track.

Picked me up from the front of RAF marham :) - I was just visiting though ;)

:yeahthat:

They picked me up in Swaffham just down the road from Marham and recovered me all the way back to just outside Heathrow, the driver did moan a little though :D

Im sure as houses we had the same bloke :)

You could be right as I remember talking to you about it once before.

Felt a bit sorry for him as when we got back and he was unloading the car he turned the front wheel with his finger gripping the stock 17" spokes, I heard a massive ouch to which he then showed me what happened to his finger when it came into contact with the caliper

We offered to take him to A&E but he insisted he was ok and set on his way back after we patched him up, he should have deff gone to A&E though :stretch:
