Hi all !

Been thinking about this for a while, i have glass headlights at present on my 94 j-spec , which are around a year old and paid near on £300 . been debating to swap for facelift ones :eyebrows:, the ones with the black and chrome etc, as it would go with the theme of my car better, which is mixture of silver and black !!

How much do these go for in A1 condition or new ?

Thinking of swapping or swap plus cash deal , but my supe is my daily driver, and work starts at 4:30am so headlights a must, can't think of another way of exchanging tho.:search:

You have to bake the headlamps for a couple of minutes in your oven ( no joke) then the lense can be prized away then use sealant to re fix, not sure what type or sealant you use though mate!

I'm pretty sure someone can tell you!

Save up for the Facelifts and take the glass lense and put onto the facelift's! Best of both worlds then! ;)

can that be done :Pling:

this cant be done, the uk glass lights although they look the same, they are totally different in the construction including the chrome insides

facelift and pre facelift have fully interchangable parts

the other thing to bare in mind on uk lights is the painted border that the rubber trim sticks to, these always flake off causing the edge to look pretty rough, when i do uks i always strip off all the black paint and start from scratch, looks a million times better
