Sharpie
Hi, I have 4 stickers on my car which, I want to remove. They have been on the car for 5yrs now with 3 of them on glass and 1 on the standard rubber lower lip, on of the front bumper. I'm going to try the hairdryer on them but, wondered if anyone had any other tips ? Also, what can you use to remove any residual adhesive ? Thanks! dibbleyuk
Hair dryer will be fine mate and pick at them with you nails or a little blade, once you get abit up they should come off very easily. petrol works well to remove any left over glue
Alex
Heat and something that won't damage the paint like a credit card...then wipe down with white spirit or something like that to remove the glue afterwards.
Monty
Ive just done my today, got rid of those giant silver flaming horses down the side, used a hairdryer and came off fine, also... furniture polish works ace on removing the left over sticky bits,
Stonkin
a hot kettle (not too hot) with some fishing line can also work well mate

James
The best stuff to use to remove the residue from the stickers is Servisol. They have "Label Remover 130" but - in the past - I've used the "Super 10" switch cleaner. Make sure and use a polish following this though so that there are no tarnish marks on the finish following use
peter richards
my procedure for this is heat gun plastic scraper just to lift an edge glue / tar remover and off they should come , but also it might now leave the area thats been covered by the sticker a slight shade different to the rest as its been protected from the elements , so might need a bit of machining to blend in then apply a good sealant/wax for protection
