15-20k will buy you a very good condition low milage Supra.

Or you may want to buy one that has already been modded and build from there.

Whatever the choice there are many questions and answers already given if you'd like to search using key words.

hes american, 15 -20k us dollars would get you either a mint condition NA or a half decent TT if your lucky, they go for round 30-40k for a mint one over the pond. 600hp reliably, built bottom end, single turbo conversion, fuel system, standalone engine management system and a good tuner

well as with any car .... try and get the best condition platform for what you aim to do with it in the future.

If you're planning on modding it up to be a good track car then go for a 6-speed TT, if you want to mod it up for shows then best condition body work etc., or if for drag racing then maybe an auto TT would be best for you?

Between now and buying your car spend as much time as you can on research and price watching, this will eventually give you the ammo to make the right choice.

Also try to test drive the different models if you get the chance.
