jevansio
What would you call this part? I need one only bigger. Any help as to what it's called or who can supply them would be appreciated. It basically screws into my manifold then I can attach a vacuum hose to it (but it swivels). I want it to replace this which just bolts into the manifold & sticks straight up. I want it to come off at a right angle as per the 2nd pic
JamesC
I would call it a manifold vacume attachment nozzle. But i don't know what someone with sense would call it
JustGav
x mm straight adapter with Y thread? Most hydraulic places would stock the unit. Or x mm 90 degree adapter with Y thread Edited June 2, 2009 by JustGav (see edit history)
Scott
The first one is a forefinger. The 2nd and 3rd ones are thumbs. In all seriousness i would call it a manifold adapter but i don't know the actual name. As for the 2nd bit cut it at 45 degrees then weld it. It might not be big enough though so you could just get a bit of pipe the same diamter then cut & weld using 45 degree cuts.

Just walk in with the old bit, and say I want 'this, but with this'... It usually works http://www.tom-parker.co.uk/ http://www.tom-parker.co.uk/products_subgroups.php?v=1&recall=true&products_categories=11&products_groups=2110&products_subgroups=2110J http://www.tom-parker.co.uk/products_subgroups.php?v=1&recall=true&products_categories=7&products_groups=2523&products_subgroups=2523AA Edited June 2, 2009 by JustGav (see edit history)

All this just to get my engine bay tidy
jon5698
Is it not a sort of PCV valve?
jevansio
Excuse my ignorance but what does PCV stand for?
RobSheffield
Positive Crankcase Ventilation iirc (or as i dont remember correctly if im wrong!)
Andy Blyth
Would a combination of something like this and one of these work? Obviously, choose a thread size to suit. I couldn't see too many metric threads available though.
jevansio
Very likely, I've obviously got the hose fitment, so all I'd need is a 90 elbow with the correct thread
DJButler
Swiveling Elbow, Male thread to male spigot, cant tell the size from the picture though. Wonder if you actually need the swivel, what moves around that needs the swivel?. That's SWiveling not SNiveling by the way!!!

Scrub that , just read the post properly, looks like 1/2" or 12mm male thread to 1/2 male spigot. Go to anybody that deals with compressed air and they will find you something. Sorry for wasting your time with the first post.
