Better? It would be quieter, but then so would putting it back to stock.

yea thing is i want to go back to stock, but iv heard people say a recirculated HKS bov is much better than a stock one? the sound of it is so pissing me off i cant believe i wanted the chav sound

There are loads of recirculating valves available as an alternative. Not cheap, but you could get some money back for the HKS one by selling it on.

Personally, I love the sound of the HKS vent-to-atmosphere BOV, but that's just me playing devil's advocate!

problem is the bov does help to protect the turbo's as it stops any uwanted gas's going back into the turbo's and stopping them from spinning, so id go for atmos and turn the sterio up louder

Lol, click on the link earlier in the thread ;)

I used to have a HKS SSQV on my old one. I never minded the tweety pie sound though.

I have a Bailey on my new one which sounds much more like a rally car ptsssshhhhh, rather than pheeeeeeep!! :D

I got rid of the foofy silver fin and replaced it with the purple fin for the same effect :D

HKS will be more efficient. It will wear the same as stock though.

I swear this convo is like dejavu. Did we not already go through recirculating an HKS? I could swear i put up pics and everything lol.

More efficient than what? More efficient at what? How much more efficient and how is this measured? :D

If I'd have known what CW said a few years ago back when I was doing my single install I might have skipped the BOV completely and saw what happened for myself. However I have a HKS BOV because a) the stock one wouldn't fit any more and b) I got the purple insert for the noise :innocent:

More efficient at not leaking than a 13 year old stock one :D

I've read on here that the stock ones tend to leak a little when you whack the boost up to BPU levels. With the push pull mechanism of the HKS this shouldn't be an issue.

Don't know if there would be THAT much difference but every little counts, plus he already has it anyway :D

Purple fin will make it sound like a whoosh noise instead of a girly chirp.

I've heard that removing the fin completely makes a deeper sound too, but I cant confirm this...

Im going to see if i can get this fixed on today to try them cheers:)
