Hi All.

I have got my eye on a 6sp NA facelift. I have a 93 TT auto and I was thinking I could get the 6sp NA facelift and put my TT engine into it then I would have a 6sp TT face lift :)

Is it going to be as simple as just swapping then engines and getting a 6sp facelift ECU + a new clutch or is it going to be a bitch??

Thanks

Jonathan

Have you had a read through THIS?

Just to double check, you're putting the TT engine into the facelift 6 speed N/A right?

If the N/A has ABS you will come across a problem with the wiring from the TT wiring loom, but I believe Matt (Muffleman) has put an explanation in the thread I've linked to.

You will need to consider finding a set of facelift TT dials, the N/A rev counter will not work with the TT loom.

93 TT engine in a 98 NA i would try and source a newer engine 97-98 TT engine.

I fitted a 96-97 TT engine in my 95 NA

The original engine I used for my conversion came from a 93TT, I think the only complication is to do with the wiring loom.

If the facelift N/A is a VVTi then I think you're right, there might be some other issues.
