Right well i have experienced fuel cut again or what i think it was, 4000rpm at 120 mph. (Was just testing to see if it was a one off before)

Is this the right speed and rev range for fuel cut to occur?

Im starting to think that i dont have a FCD.

Your fcd might need reset mate there normally fitted in the passenger footwell ive a greddy one and it can be set to kick in at different levels if you have one it could just need tweaked. i was gettin fuel cut till i went full de-cat after that there wasnt a problem.

Might be an option to go full de-cat with rr it stopped my fuel cut problem. My fuel cut didnt raise its head for nearly a year with the 1st cat still in then out the blue it gave fuel cut what boost you running with the first cat in place?

Fuel cut only happens when your boost goes over 0.8-0.9, when you had both cats in your boost would never get more than this, now you have removed a cat boost will rise and you get fuel cut, it has nothing to do with speed, you could get 160 out of your car if you had a long road and took your time

would currently having no rear silencer play a part as well ??

It might. I think it was Getrag on here that still had both cats but had a free flowing cat back exhaust and he was getting boost spike until he fitted a restrictor ring (along with the two cats).
