View Full Version : 1.6 Bar...Any Ideas?
Just been out in the car and was giving it some and thought it was pulling well when I looked at the boost gauge and it was reading1.6!!!..Only had a restrictor ring fitted a little while ago and it was at a stable 1.2..any ideas why it has suddenly shot up...
Wastegate not opening?

Cold damp air ;)
I had mine set so it runs about 1.1 tops normally. Even on the coldest dampest day it only went up to 1.25 once. That way I know its always safe and I'll boost it up a bit on the warmer days with the SBC-ID when I get it!
Surely it wouldn't rise like that..its warmer today than when it was set up.

Damn boy! and you've only just got it back from Leon's!
You need that SBC-iD now!
Nah, the worst I ever got without the restrictor ring in was 1.5bar on a cold day giving it large from 2nd to 6th gear. Might be a toob come off somewhere, how are you with the pressure hose system of the sequential setup? :D

With Ian on this, check your pipework around the turbo's
Only pressure hose I'm any good with is a karcher!!no in all seriousness will have to leave it to Leon not very mechanically minded...will it be ok if I take it easy in it for the weekend?Terry are you selling that Boost controller yet mate?
Use your right foot to control the boost and you'll be OK :)
