Lots of people will say its expensive for a NA auto and to some extent i'd agree but if it drives and looks the mileage it says and the old man is happy with the performance/feel then I think it would certainly be a very reliable low hassle/risk purchase.

What does he want from the car...........and whats he currently driving?

Thats the first thing i said, seemed expensive to me but wasn't sure how much the facelift one's go for.

He's got a 320(auto) BMW at the moment and wants an auto in the Supra. It'll be a sunday type car to him really.

Ah, the rare 3.5 litre model :D

It does seem quite expensive for an auto NA, but if it's tidy and a genuine car then it might be a wise choice if it's going to be owned longer term.

Certainly get a bimta or independant check done on the mileage (not HPI, but one that uses the japanese database)

He should be happy enough with the model type then...........just the issue of (the possible lack of) value for money........eg the £4000 silver 50k miler? or Matthews one?
