How do people get away without having front number plates, ive seen a few cars on here and they dont have them

 

isnt this illegal, whats the offence and whats the maximum fine, im sick of the little sh|ts round here with chavved corsa`s without front plates

 

its got to be illegal isnt it ?

yes it is, usually a 30quid fine and a rectification notice.

 

But if you're caught 4-5 times the police can make the DVLA put you on a Q plate which will make your car hard to sell in the future.

It is a £30 non endorsable fine OR a VDRS

 

You are getting confused with the Q plates as they are no longer issued. The DVLA can revoke a cherished plate if the owner has been reported twice before for misrepresenting the characters (use of bolts, spacing etc)

well my original plate is L300 OSC and its the plate the car was first registered on, so if i 1) didnt have a front plate and 2) changed the letter spaceing, i wonder what i would be done for... lol

 

I would like to think that discretion would be used unless you were taking the piss with a small plate, ridiculous font etc
