Hey guys...

How much does a complete engine 'clean' and, I guess, refit cost?

Single turbo conversion from a manual N/A?

Looking for ball park figures. Not sure if I should just buy an NA and then fit a body kit (bomex) to it and convert the engine when I have more money... or save longer and buy a super machine from this site... :)

Is that what people do?!

Umm, cleaning your engine, bizarre terminology there. I'd have thought if you were after a shiney engine bay, you would be looking at buying bling, chroming, polishing and spraying.

As for cleaning it... De-greaser and elbow grease?

Clean and taking it out and refitting it I would say 1k

Single turbo conversion done properly on an N/A 10k +

Exactly! If youre going to do the NA to single then do it right.

And its not cheap, you would be better going TT and then single TBH:)

Thanks for the comments guys. TT it is.

I just meant some people seem to have very shiny engine bays... I'm not a mechanic of any standard but I do think it looks nice and I guess it's good for the engine....

Not always good for engine, good for eyes usually :) It's usually some polished or chrome covers, caps, pipes etc :) You do not need to take off engine to install those, you just replace standart parts with shiney one :)
