Has anyone tried these tyres? looking for some new rear's to handle 500bhp.

I'm in need of new rear rubber running 265 -35 -18 and around 500 bhp (small single) . i have pilot sport on there at the moment and there crap for grip! Any other suggestions welcome.

Pilot Sport are probably the best available. Have you tried a geo setup? Something may be amiss.

V similar in appearence to Toyo R888s. Assuming the compound, etc is similar enough for a direct comparison, then ace (and I do mean ace) in the dry and scary as f*ck in the wet! But I'd only be guessing...

Try getting the Geo setup done first. If that's spot on, R888s work really well on a small single, even in mildly wet conditions (Standing water can be fun though! )

Ya had full geo mate and all spot on . my tyres have about 3 mm left on them and I'm auto which don't help i think but i cant pull away fast just spins up ! .

Needs more mm's then

Seeing as Black Circles sell the Toyo R888 for £165.99 plus delivery I'd go for the Toyo's as they are tried and tested

If you're still not convinced, you could try the Toyo T1R - their premium sports tyres, without going semi-slick again. Very happy with mine.

I had pilot sports on my N/A and with a similar level of tread left they were awfull. Not surprised your having trouble with 500BHP

Had Federals on my Calibra Turbo(working 4 wheel drive)Good grip,but wore pretty quick.

You won`t beat r888`s for dry grip and value for ££, they`re abit noisy at speed though.

Not at £300 a cornor .think ill just stick with the 888

TRD diff, -1.5 degrees camber 1mm toe in total, Bridgeatone Re050A (275 is better) and you have lots of grip in the wet. Works fine for me @ 676BHP.
