The pub in Bletchingly, A25 beside the Gatso!!
8pm
Venue depends on what day people want to do it.
I'd imagine it will be M23 way as requested last month :)
Just want to get thoughts first... so thanks ;)
We have the Berkhampstead meet secheduled for the 3rd April if you wanted to make SEM that event then that should be okay.

Berkhampstead isn't exactly close for the Kent people. My vote goes for M23 area-ish

Berkhamsptead is up near Hemel Hempstead and Watford.
M23 isnt really local for Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire people :)

I think that for one of the future months, when its lighter and warmer in the evenings, we should go to the Reading midweek meet organised by DET.
It seems a shame to not occasionally show off the sup's to the jap car masses plus there always seems to be a few non BBS sup's around and not too many 'trevors'

Problem is the light hasn't drawn out enough yet to hold them after work any day. Its not exactly brilliant looking at cars in the dark lol.
M23 sounds cool even though its quite a long way for me as its only fair to the guys that come this way when we have them here.
Brain, originally we held them in the dead of winter... it was a kinda 'keep everyone from getting to depressed' during the winter so I'm guessing that peeps wouldn't mind picking this up again- plus, lets be honest, what we did was turn up at a pub, eat then go for a convoy somewhere :)
BUT thanks for the input, this is what I need so opinions gratefully received.
So we can either do 3rd during the day (which clashes with another meet) or Monday 5th and take on the darkness or Sunday 10th (clashes with NUR) or just leave it for April?
I'm happy to go for the 5th, remember the clocks will have gone back then anyway so it will be a little lighter than at the moment.

ermmm isnt the big bolney meet in april too??? thats a lot of meets in one month, if it a monday then i wont be able to make, as chances are i wont get back from work till 7 then have to be up early next day .....be 2 in row i missed then :(

Bolney is around the 23rd I think.
I've missed two in a row, I'll try my level best to get to this one if its not too far (not overly fussed about the date).

Ah see now i have only ever been to these meetings since they have been in the day time at weekends. I have to say the meet at fleet services was very good as there were so many cars there. I am assuming that the SEM meet was really just a bunch of freinds getting together in their local area on a weekday evening and not the vastly expanded people coming from a very long way off affair that fleet was. If the clocks have gone fwds then there will of course be more light so bring on any day ya like and we shall get the meeting going.

Brain- yeah it started out as a smaller gathering but seems to have expanded somewhat.
I'm only considering moving the meet due to the other things that are happening that weekend. You can still go for the Sunday if you want?

I'm a don't mind, I'm pretty sure I can make the Sunday and the Monday. But if push comes to shove I'm voting Monday as it gives me something too look forward to after work.

I can do sunday anytime but realistically I can't get to the m23 from bournemouth much before 9 pm which kind of negates the point as you lot will all be gone by then.

well put ya name on a list either list it doesn't matter just so long as a list gets filled. Monday seems the best bet for the usual crowd back to the old ways an all. Sunday seems the better bet for anyone that has to come from further afield. If the Sunday list gets no names on it I will see about organising a Bournemouth massif meeting to get my locals together as I can't go a month without me soop fix lol..

Brain- don't worry, it'll be on a Sunday again next month, it would just seem that there isn't a lot of people about on that particular date, and being 100% selfish about it I chose Monday :p

I would have done the monday as well but mrs doesn't get home from work til half six and I don't think I could reliably get to the M23 in time.. Other Mondays within an hours drive are achievable.

Wheres this pub then? I'm planning on sticking to the M23 idea. I'm going past that way next weekend so I was planning on checking out the services available, but as it's an evening meet perhaps a pub would be better- it's not like we need the normal space for 30+ cars...

Ok, I have called them up and they are fine with that. I said about 8ish, and probably a max of 10. They have reserved the same 'special' table as last time. Section 3 apparently :conf:
I wasn't sure if people were eating but I presume some will be as you are coming straight from work etc, plus, no-one can resist steak especially when others are eating it lol

It would be fair and perhaps slightly understated to say that it was bloody awful on the way there, Trig, me and Keith were crawling along the M25 because of the rain, but the journey back was much more fun :)
