It's like when you were a kid at primary school and have to wear a costume for a school play or whatever. Anyway, everyone else's mum does a great job sewing a costume up but typically your own mum is otherwise occupied that night so you have no choice but to let your old Dad knock something up for you, now you know its crap and he can't sew for toffee but you don't want to hurt his feelings so you go to school in it and get the p**s ripped right out of you.
